He spends a lot of his time pulling out the numbers that were always there but never made it onto the page: throughput improvements, cost reductions, safety records, the size of a team or site someone was responsible for. A client will often mention a detail in passing during a call that turns out to be the strongest line on the whole CV.
He is also careful about the difference between what reads well to an automated screening system and what actually convinces an operations director reading it afterwards. Compliance certifications and safety metrics need to be easy for a parser to pick up, but the CV still has to tell a coherent story about how someone has grown through a business, which is where Daniel says most generic CV templates fall down completely.
